Fall Equinox Campout Sept. 19th-20th, 2021
The Fall Equinox campout is part of our quarterly campout series that will coincide with the seasons, particularly the solstices and equinoxes. Each campout will be in a different location and somewhere along or close to the Stagecoach 400 route.
If you're new to bike packing or just want a mellow adventure, this will be the perfect route for you!

If you are interested in rolling out with Martin from the shop on the 19th, they plan to leave around 3pm for about an hour and a half ride to the Sweetwater Summit Campground, sites 55 and 56, where we will set up camp, have some beers and snacks and enjoy the afternoon.
Later, after you unload your bike, there will be an optional sunset ride out to the Tiki Hut, so bring some lights! The sunset ride will only be about 20 minutes each way but a little more technical dirt, which is why it will be on unloaded bikes.
The next morning will be a causal roll out on an alternative route back to the shop. This route will be slightly longer with an option to take the ferry across the bay from Coronado to Downtown.
Food: The ride is completely self supported, so come prepared. There is water, electricity, restrooms, and coin showers at the campground. We will bring some snacks and drinks and will have a stove if needed but you are responsible for bringing your dinner and breakfast. There will not be a lot of options for stops on the way down or the first half on the way back home.
